![]() (2) Whisper is ENTIRELY unable to consume actual food items instead, he is able to gain nourishment from the fear felt by those around him. Whilst he is intangible, Whisper is unharmed by environmental hazards like temperature or fire, can walk right through solid structures and mobs (or over water), and cannot be attacked- the trade off, however, is that Whisper cannot attack, hold items in his inventory, or otherwise interact with his environment when in this state. When conditions are not 'just right', however, Whisper's tangibility will degrade- leading him to gradually loose these abilities until he reaches a wholly intangible state. ![]() When he is fully tangible, Whisper functions just like any other character- he has collision with solid structures or mobs, can attack or be attacked, harvest and carry resources, be harmed by extreme temperatures, and so on. (1) Whisper's tangibility fluctuates based upon external conditions, such as the sanity of nearby players, the phase of the moon, and the nightmare cycle. Why? Because I have plans to learn C++ (or whatever language DST is coded in) specifically so that I can turn this character into a real mod! (I am an artist and can 100% crank out everything else needed entirely on my own- art assets, voice noises, pages upon pages of unique dialogue.)įor those curious, the character (Whisper) looks like this ! The details I'm going to share here are quite abridged (trust me, they're abridged), but that's because the finer details I have written down (such as the exact amount of sanity certain actions deduct) are still subject to a lot of tweaking.
